In a remote region of Japan known as Doll's Liminal, an experiment called the Freight Transport Test is conducted to determine whether someone can pass through the area and safely reach the other side. The unit for measuring depth in this space is called Depths. The strange phenomenon of Doll's Liminal attempts to drag those who enter it toward Depths 399 — the deepest layer.
