In the distant future, with no villain or hero remaining, the world has grown complacent — and its defenses are unprepared when Badniks begin colonizing the planet in rapid succession. Survivors who escaped to the Low Orbit Station created ARKS — Annihilating Robots to Keep Species — and vowed to reclaim the planet from a threat thought eliminated centuries ago after the defeat of Dr. Eggman.
