In the land of Tessara, Aran—king of the High humans—is betrayed by his own brother Arva, stripped of his divine powers, and cast to the ground. The world plunges into darkness. Monsters swarm the corrupted cities. Aran sets out to reclaim what was taken: his powers, his throne, and ultimately a confrontation with Arva at the Tree of Darkness—the source of everything that went wrong.
