Dreams of Joy Departed

James Winter is looking for his old girlfriend Velouria. His search takes him through the memories of others, including a daughter and father trapped in a cycle of violence — and perhaps gives him the chance to help them find some resolution. But Winter's actions and personality are not fixed, and another path exists, one darker and more miserable than what this poor family has already endured.
