From the Cold War-era arms deals to September 11th to the rise and fall of the Islamic State, Western military interventions across the Middle East have produced consequences that reshaped entire regions — always at the cost of local populations. This game examines those consequences: how Afghan fighters were armed against the Soviets and then turned against their former backers, how Saddam Hussein built and lost his power, and how the power vacuums left by the Iraq War became the breeding ground for ISIS.
