You have been selected to participate in an experiment. Each participant has been fitted with a collar containing a timer — each collar set to a different random countdown. When a timer reaches zero, the wearer dies. If you die before your collar runs out, the person nearest to you inherits your remaining time. If you give up, the collar kills you. The trial is about to begin.
