In 1975, a massive natural disaster pushed civilization past its breaking point. Riots, wars, and famine followed as the continents were submerged and nuclear fallout spread. Few survived. In the aftermath, some individuals still manage to trust one another enough to form communities with medicine, food, and shelter. Aino is one of the fortunate ones — but membership in a group comes with its own demands in a world this dangerous.
