Songs of Travel

Songs of Travel is an animated graphic novel following five migrants seeking new beginnings in Europe: Light, a non-binary Syrian refugee arriving in Vienna; Van, the daughter of a Vietnamese contract worker who grew up in East Germany; Michele, the son of an Italian miner who died in the 1956 Marcinelle disaster; Hasan, who came to Austria from Istanbul as a baby; and Olya, a Ukrainian lawyer who fled Donetsk in 2014 and Ukraine again in 2022. Together their stories paint a mosaic of hope, identity, and the meaning of home.
