Our Bad Ending

Syira and Huimin once made a wish to a banana tree spirit as a childish ritual. Syira wished Huimin would be hers. Years later, whatever demon or spirit they spoke to clearly doesn't grant wishes — Huimin has been with a boyfriend for five years and they've booked a chalet to celebrate their anniversary. Then a frantic phone call arrives in the middle of the night. A lover's quarrel had turned violent. Huimin begs Syira for help, and a dark, malicious desire begins to take root. Maybe the spirit does listen after all.
