Neural Shock

In 2304, CyTech's discovery that artificial neural networks could be integrated into human soldiers sparked a revolution in warfare. Generations of augmented soldiers proved devastating in combat — until one generation altered the genetic code of its subjects entirely. The results mutated into a new race, hostile even to their creators, and they revolted. In 2325, a team of mercenaries from Armorion is sent to infiltrate CyTech's main facility, eliminate the specimens, and end the clone production — using the facility's own defense network to build turrets and hold each sector.
