NextWorld2 is set in Kigan, the largest continent of a once-united realm now split between two great kingdoms, Selakim and Quila. Long ago, an ancient war between light and shadow shattered the world's balance, giving rise to endless conflict, and the magical force known as the Essence still lingers, empowering heroes and creatures alike. Centuries after the fall of the old empires, peace has grown fragile: orc tribes raid the borderlands, dark beasts prowl ancient ruins, and forgotten powers stir beneath the earth. As tensions mount between Selakim and Quila, whispers spread of an ancient prophecy foretelling the return of the Demon Reaper.
