Kodoku

Urohoshi, a university professor of folklore, ventures deep into the mountains in search of a friend who vanished without a trace — drawn there by reports of a grotesque Kannon statue. At the site, he discovers a massive jar. The moment he leaps inside, Urohoshi awakens in an otherworld ruled entirely by monsters.
