Two years after a bioterrorist attack killed 170,000 people, one of the survivors — a journalist who has spent the intervening time trying to understand what was deployed and who was behind it — receives a phone call. The caller claims to know the truth about the virus used in the attack and is willing to share it. The journalist follows the instructions he is given. They lead to a deserted mansion. What he finds inside exceeds anything he had prepared himself to discover.
