The world war ended, and you helped the Emperor rebuild the empire afterward. The alien threat that triggered the final battle remains, though most of the population has decided to treat the creatures that survived as simple mutants rather than harbingers of a returning force. Your friends Chien and Joanne, the only other survivors of the war's final engagement, heard the same declaration you heard — the aliens are coming back.
