Eli, your genderfluid partner, is staying at your place for ten days. The problem is financial: you are broke, and staying broke for ten days is not going to work. Your aunt steps in with an offer that amounts to a threat — work at her cafe, or else. The catch is leaving Eli alone for the day while you do it. Eli does not always handle being left alone well, and if things sour between you, the ten days ahead start looking very different.
