Melon Head

In the pleasure-saturated capital of His Majesty's Realm, a king without a face has commissioned Melon Head — the local sculptor whose head is, literally, shaped like a melon — to construct an extension for the royal staff. A vision delivers the specifications: the required component is a Crystal Iris Distillate, a rare object whose parts are scattered across His Majesty's Realm. Melon Head sets off to find them. The quest turns strange quickly, demanding cunning, morally flexible thinking, and a sharp intellect — and eventually requiring Melon Head to choose between loyalty to the king who commissioned him and the movement rising to challenge the existing order.
