Miguel is a committed member of a Masonic fraternity, and his brothers have gone missing. The investigation he launches leads him to the fraternity's imposing residence, where something is deeply wrong in every room, and to a Masonic temple hidden in its depths whose secrets are of a different category entirely. At the center of everything is a sacred amulet brought back from an Egyptian excavation — an object that seemed to be an extraordinary archaeological find until its actual nature began to make itself known. Working through supernatural occurrences, cryptic evidence, and encounters that defy any rational account, Miguel searches for his brothers and discovers that whatever is at the root of this extends back to ancient civilizations and reaches into dimensions beyond the ordinary world.
