The powerful and deeply eccentric industrialist Edgar Ektor has spent years planning revenge against the world of entertainment. His grievance: as a child, a prank that went too far led to him being permanently banished from the circus. His response: invade a local circus with a gang of deranged clowns and take every member of its staff hostage. The circus's star performer, Aero the Acro-Bat, has to get his friends and his girlfriend Ariel out of Ektor's hands and dismantle whatever comes next before it can be carried out.
