Kronostasis

In ancient times, the foundations of civilization were laid by the guild of Magus. The wizards of Magus spent decades mastering magic — but every casting drained life force and accelerated aging. Kronos, one of the most powerful among them, refused to accept that limitation. He turned to forbidden techniques for immortality, and once freed from the constraints of time, his appetite for reshaping the world according to his own vision became boundless. For centuries, Kronos distorted ancient civilizations and transformed living things into monsters. The other wizards could not defeat him — they could only trap him inside a rift woven into the fabric of time and space. To prevent it from ever happening again, the guild of Magus was dissolved and its accumulated knowledge sealed away. Eventually, the guild itself became myth.
