MediEvil 2, or MediEvil II in its NA release, is an action-adventure game originally developed by SCE Cambridge Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. Released in 2000 for the PlayStation, it is a sequel to the original MediEvil and continues the story of Sir Daniel Fortesque.
Set in Victorian-era London, the game follows Sir Dan as he is resurrected once again to stop a sorcerer named Lord Palethorn, who has unleashed chaos by reanimating the dead using pages from Zarok's spellbook. The gameplay combines hack-and-slash combat, exploration, and puzzle-solving, with new weapons, levels, and enemies. The game introduces unique features such as a ghostly ally, Kiya, and new mechanics like controlling Dan’s detached head for specific puzzles.

Kensington, 1886. Five hundred years after Sir Daniel Fortesque's legendary battle against the evil sorcerer Zarok, a new sorcerer named Lord Palethorn discovers Zarok's spellbook and casts its dead-raising spell across London. The pages scatter across the city, and Palethorn's own form is warped into something demonic. The spell reaches the museum where Sir Dan had been resting, pulling him back to life. Recruited by Professor Hamilton Kift and his ghostly companion Winston, Dan sets out to recover the scattered pages. Along the way, he is joined by an ancient mummy princess named Kiya, who becomes his love interest — until Jack the Ripper kills her. Dan discovers a time machine, travels back, merges with his past self to gain golden armor, and ultimately turns Palethorn's own summoned demon against him. As the villain destroys his own lair with his last breath, Dan and Kiya choose to return together to the peace of eternal rest.
