Sakura, The Jirai-kei Magical Girl

Soushi Akiba is an orphaned young man living entirely alone when he encounters a girl in Jirai-kei fashion — the distinctive goth-adjacent aesthetic — in the middle of the bustling nightlife district. He buys her food because she looks hungry. When he tries to leave, a monstrous non-human creature wearing a human face attacks him out of nowhere. Then a pink-haired girl in a cyberpunk combat suit appears, activates Magical Gear, and transforms. A romance about love and duty, fought out in a world where transformation battles are the price of protecting the ordinary.
