Sandwalkers

Every decade, the Mka tribe dispatches caravans of adventurers into the Phithi — the meteorological chaos that seals the Uwando tribes off from each other and makes surviving outside the refuges nearly impossible. Their mission: establish diplomatic and trade relations with isolated tribes, reclaim territory long since given over to monsters and pirates, and plant a new tree city capable of serving as a refuge for the Mka and their allies. Whether the mission succeeds or fails, each caravan must transmit the memories they have gathered back to the capital through crystospheres carried by traveling beetles.
