Osaki, who works for a detective agency, is given an unusual assignment: attend the second-anniversary memorial service for the late actress Ann Ooe on the remote island of Ooejima — while posing as his client, not himself. The mourners gathered are tense with each other, and none of them have laid eyes on whoever organized the event. Things worsen rapidly: the ferry that was supposed to return everyone to the mainland fails to arrive, and the servant who had been attending the group is discovered murdered. Trapped together, the mourners begin searching for the killer — and the investigation unravels the shared history of everyone present as well as the circumstances behind Ann Ooe's death. A closed-circle Showa-era horror mystery in which all nine mourners are guilty, all nine are romanceable (including the first victim), and new routes, love interests, and story choices unlock as you progress.
