Leafing Home

Leafing Home follows a young Prevost's squirrel who was adopted and raised by a family of flying squirrels. As the only non-flier among them, this squirrel has always felt the difference keenly. When a mischievous blue-footed booby steals the precious fruit of the World Tree, the squirrel sets out to take it back — and falls from the mountain in the attempt. Now the squirrel must find the way home and recover the fruit. With bee detective Detlev as a companion, a magical leaf that enables flight, and a world shaped by real environmental concerns as the backdrop, the journey takes in extraordinary creatures including arm-flapping birds, leggy fish, and ancient giant tortoises.
