Eighty-one years ago, the Republics of Alterria and Subaria went to war over Techna — a mysterious energy source that both nations depended on. A fragile truce eventually held, and in the decades that followed, both nations grew rapidly under the influence of the Nezia corporation. Then a tragic accident at the Ghessa laboratory caused several scientists to disappear, altering the lives of everyone connected to them. Fifteen years later, a new adventurer sets out from the town of Couvre-Vent on a journey across two newly explored regions — uncovering the long-term consequences of technological ambition, discovering new Pokémon and Fakemon, and making choices that will shape what comes next for both nations.
