About This Game

A year after surviving the Temple of Apshai's supposedly bottommost reaches, the warrior Brian Hammerhand is drawn back to the legendary ruins by recurring nightmares that plague him during every full moon. In these visions, he traverses a burning hellscape, defeats a massive winged demon, and discovers a woman trapped in magical flames upon an altar—only to be seized by a skeletal, death-like figure whose touch leaves a mark upon his arm. When he consults the wizard Merlis, he learns that the woman is Brynhild, a warrior queen lost to time three centuries past, imprisoned somewhere deep within the temple's still-unexplored depths. Tales of vast treasure have lured countless adventurers to Apshai in recent months, and whispers now speak of a fifth level revealed just weeks before, along with reports of a fierce fighter named Shalimar who barely escaped from an unknown labyrinth. To end his torment and free Brynhild from her magical prison, Brian must delve once more into the temple's treacherous dungeons, though mysteries far greater than he imagined await in the darkness below.
