Gertie Goose embarks on a perilous journey through an enchanted forest after a tyrannical Demon King steals her eggs and locks them away in the Inner Sanctums. To reclaim what was taken, players must guide Gertie through dangerous terrain, seeking out hidden keys scattered throughout the woodland while avoiding or defeating the king's stationed guards who patrol relentlessly to prevent her escape. Success means navigating the forest's treacherous paths, collecting each key needed to breach the Inner Sanctums, gathering all the stolen eggs, and confronting the Demon King himself—though capture means failure and Gertie's doom.
