Sword of Vermilion

Raised in obscurity by a loyal warrior in the remote village of Wyclif, the young prince discovers his true heritage only as his guardian lies dying—revealed as the sole heir to King Erik V of Excalabria, whose kingdom fell to treachery eighteen years prior. His father's former friend, King Tsarkon, was corrupted by dark magic and led a devastating invasion that destroyed the throne, scattered the rings of good throughout the realm, and left the prince's mother frozen in stone.
