The Colonel's Bequest

Released1989
The Colonel's Bequest is a character-driven graphic adventure game by Sierra On-Line. It was developed for Atari ST, Amiga, and MS-DOS in 1989. It was the first of the short-lived Laura Bow Mysteries series created by Roberta Williams. The thrill and suspense of The Colonel's Bequest is unprecedented in animated adventure games. Never before has a plot been so complex, or characters so well developed. From the die-hard mystery fan, to the veteran 3-D adventurer, this game is not to be missed.

About This Game

In 1925, college student Laura Bow receives an invitation to the sprawling Louisiana mansion of the mysterious Colonel Dijon, a reclusive tycoon who has summoned his squabbling relatives and associates for reasons unknown. When the Colonel announces plans to distribute his vast fortune among those gathered, the atmosphere shifts from curiosity to tension as barely concealed resentment and duplicity surface among the guests. As members of the household begin to fall victim to murder, Laura must navigate the shadowy corridors and hidden corners of the estate to uncover the truth about the deaths and identify the culprit before more blood is spilled.
