Roger Wilco finds himself caught in a temporal chase when a resurrected manifestation of his old nemesis Sludge Vohaul pursues him across multiple timelines, determined to finish what it started. Hunted through the space-faring adventures of both past and future iterations of the Space Quest saga, Roger must navigate between different eras—including a visit to the gaudy world of Latex Babes of Estros and a dangerous return to the original Space Quest, where the game's visual presentation shifts dramatically and he faces hostile adversaries who resent his technological superiority. The adventure unfolds almost entirely outside the events of the fourth installment itself, with the actual Space Quest IV serving merely as a brief prologue to this timeline-bending ordeal.
