Silver Surfer

Silver Surfer

Released1990
Silver Surfer is a shooter game, with some levels taking place vertically and some horizontally. The Surfer's only ability is to move around on the screen and to shoot directly in front of him. Power-ups that can be picked up include: the letter "F" (Firepower) which will increase the number and power of his projectiles, Smart bombs which destroy everything on the screen, the letter "S" (Speedup) which increases the surfer's movement and Orbs which will also fire the Surfer's weapon. Orbs are special in that two can be obtained (only 1 is shown on horizontal scrolling levels) and they can be positioned to fire forwards, backwards or sideways.

About This Game

The Silver Surfer's endless journey across the cosmos as Galactus's scout takes a sudden turn when his master summons him with urgent news: interdimensional entities from the Magick Dimension are breaching the barriers between worlds, and their invasion threatens to extinguish all existence. Determined to prevent this catastrophe, the Surfer embarks on a perilous quest to locate and reassemble the fragments of an ancient Cosmic Device, the only weapon capable of sealing the dimensional rift. However, five formidable adversaries—Reptyl, Mephisto, the Skrull Emperor, the Possessor, and Firelord—each possess a crucial piece and guard their territories fiercely. The Surfer must venture into their hostile domains, overcome each foe in combat, and claim the scattered components needed to complete the Device before the invaders establish a permanent foothold in reality.
