About This Game

Across the cosmos, the aquatic world of Latis faces annihilation as the militaristic Bacterian empire unleashes its devastating Salamander Force upon the defenseless planet. Ancient prophecies speak of a catastrophic dragon born from cosmic fire, destined to consume all light and plunge existence into eternal darkness—a doom that now seems imminent as Latis's armies crumble under the relentless assault. Desperate and gravely wounded after his initial stand, the prince of Latis pilots the advanced fighter Lord British and reaches out to Gradius, a neighboring world with prior experience battling Bacterian's tyranny. A single Gradius pilot volunteers for the perilous mission, climbing aboard the legendary Vic Viper to journey toward the heart of enemy territory and strike back against overwhelming odds.
