About This Game

After barely escaping the first tournament, the sorcerer Shang Tsung seeks redemption by proposing a bold strategy to his overlord Shao Kahn: lure Earth's champions into a rematch held on Outworld's hostile turf, where they cannot refuse the ancient rules of Mortal Kombat. Kahn accepts the gambit and restores Tsung to his prime, then sends the fateful challenge across realms. Raiden and his fighters answer the call, knowing full well they face an opponent with every conceivable advantage—fighting on his own realm, where a Kahn victory would shatter the cosmic balance and allow Outworld to consume Earthrealm entirely. What awaits them is a tournament far more perilous than the first, with the very existence of their world hanging in the balance.
