About This Game

A sorcerer named Shang Tsung orchestrates a martial arts tournament where seven fighters from Earth must prove their worth against opponents from a dark alternate realm. The stakes are catastrophic: Shang Tsung's seemingly invincible champion Goro has dominated nine consecutive tournaments, and if he claims victory once more, Earth itself will fall under Outworld's dominion. Among those summoned to compete are a thunder deity taking mortal form, a Shaolin warrior seeking vengeance against the sorcerer, a movie star chasing fame and glory, a military operative on a personal vendetta, and various mercenaries and assassins with their own hidden agendas and brutal scores to settle. As these fighters converge on the tournament grounds, their individual quests for glory, justice, and survival collide in a deadly competition where only the strongest will determine humanity's fate.
