Peterson is deployed as part of STAAR—the Strategic Tactical Advanced Alien Response unit—to contain a crisis at Area 51. The facility has been overrun by an alien race called the Kronn and by the zombified remains of personnel they've turned. The mission is containment, and every section of the base is compromised.
