Gouketsuji Ichizoku 2: Chottodake Saikyou Densetsu

Gouketsuji Ichizoku 2: Chottodake Saikyou Densetsu

Released1995
The PlayStation port of the game released exclusively in Japan. This version of the game was used as a connection to Gogetsuji Legends, an Arcade game released months earlier in Japan. It added the Tag Battle mode from Legends along with new unlockable characters and transformations only available in the VS and Tag Battle modes. Unfortunately this version suffers from major slowdowns/freezes when characters transform.

About This Game

For sixty years, Oume Goketsuji led the Gouketsuji clan—until the day her younger sister Otane finally surpassed her and claimed the title. Fuming at her defeat, Oume finds an unexpected ally in Oshima Goketsuji, who arrives in the night and offers the means for revenge. Acting quickly, Oume and Oshima dispatch servants to dispose of Otane while she sleeps; Otane is kidnapped and thrown into the ocean. The following morning, a letter bearing Otane's name arrives—supposedly renouncing her right to lead the clan. With the clan's rules requiring an immediate new tournament whenever leadership changes, every competitor from the last contest and other family members are summoned. The tournament is set to begin.
