The people of Delphi have never needed a military — generations of peaceful living have left them without the tools or know-how to fight a war. That changes when the Halon people begin their invasion, forcing Delphi to develop defensive technology on the fly as the conflict unfolds. The Halon are not invading out of malice alone: they have pushed their own side of the planet beyond recovery, polluting the light-facing lands until they can no longer sustain life. Eventually Tolly infiltrates the Halon ranks, pilots one of their own aircraft to the light side of the planet, and strikes at the heart of their offensive capability by destroying their aircraft factories.
