Veins Like Tapeworms

When life has always been a closed loop with no exit, it is not difficult to understand how someone is eventually pushed to the edge. It becomes even easier to understand when that person never had the chance to start living in the first place. Demian is a young adult on that edge — and then they find a flesh-eating parasite that offers a promise: freedom. They accept. And in doing so, they become the monster of their own making.
