Omakase! Savers

Released1996
Omakase! Savers is a comedy adventure game featuring live-action scenes. The player takes the role of the girls' classmate, who appears as a small ghost, and must guide the girls in their quest to seal the spirits again and restore their classmate to his human form. This primarily takes the form of exploring the town on foot, talking to the townsfolk and investigating to find the whereabouts of the spirits causing trouble. Occasional combat takes a semi-real-time format, with the player moving around freely but pausing to perform attacks. The game is divided into four chapters, each focusing on a specific spirit that must be defeated and captured. The characters in the game are represented both by anime-style sprites and digitized photo portraits of real actors, while numerous live-action cutscenes drive the story.

About This Game

Three best friends — high school girls named Hinako, Kana, and Wakaba — accidentally shatter a sacred seal at a local shrine while fooling around with a camera. The broken seal releases 108 mischievous spirits into the world, and the chaos begins immediately: one of their classmates is transformed into a strange mystical gem. The elderly caretaker of the shrine holds the three responsible and grants each of them a secret transformation power to fight the spirits. With these new abilities, the three must hunt down all 108 escapees and seal them away again before more damage is done.
