Starwinder: The Ultimate Space Race

Released1996
In Starwinder: The Ultimate Space Race, you assume the role of Conner Rhodes, the first representative of Earth sent to compete in a galaxy-wide race. This isn't an ordinary race, however -- an unknown alien race built magnificent rails/tracks throughout the confines of space. Spanning thousands of miles in length, rails act in such a way that when pilots navigate toward one, it increases the speed of the ship.

About This Game

Conner has one goal: bring home the Starsphere, the ultimate prize in the most competitive race circuit in the Milky Way's far reaches. Seven other pilots want the same thing — including Ko-Axe (half-human, half-machine), the driven Tianna Stone, and the aggressively overconfident Dextor the Terrible. The Starsphere circuit spans forty-four rail tracks across four quadrants, ten races per quadrant, building toward the final railway Epsilon Indi where the champions settle everything. Some stages are open racing; others are time trials demanding precision over aggression. Only pilots who can handle both will hold the Starsphere.
