Ryoko is seventeen. Her family has relocated to New York and she is not going with them — she still has school to finish. Her father's practical solution: Ryoko moves into the spare room of a family friend's apartment. She arrives and settles in, and it is clear she is not entirely okay. She misses her family. She is far from where she wants to be, and the emotional distance shows in the careful way she holds herself. The player shares her space, navigates the rhythms of shared living and gradually opening conversation, and decides how much of the gap between them to close.
