The expanded story mode takes place in a high school where Uno is not just a casual pastime but an organized competitive pursuit. Student protagonist Shunichi Uno has made it his personal mission to work through every member of the school's Uno Club and qualify for the National High School Uno Championship. The DX edition adds content around the core story — more characters, expanded club dynamics, a broader bracket to navigate — while the card game mechanics remain the foundation. The stakes around them are simply larger.
