In 2009, in a corner of New Tokyo Port Town — a floating city above Tokyo Bay — an unknown virus breaks out in the International Specialized Pathologies Hospital. The infection spreads through patients and staff, mutating them into something no medical protocol was designed to address. Local animal life is affected next. Before the situation can be reported externally, all communication from the facility is cut off. The hospital becomes a sealed environment — a Hospital of Death, in the United Nations' assessment. Two marine commandos are dispatched to investigate what happened inside.
