R-Type Delta

It is 2163. The trans-dimensional fighter R-9A Arrowhead, returning from a mission against the Bydo Empire, is badly damaged and retrieved by Earth's orbital fortress Aegis. Meanwhile, astronomers in Central Asia observe strange objects falling from the sky — objects that shrink and vanish from sensors as they approach Earth. Soon, weapon systems across multiple cities go haywire, and the orbiting annihilation platform Moritz-G falls under Bydo influence and descends on an Asian city. Its planet-killing capability has not yet activated — but its self-defense systems have repelled every attempt to approach it. Emergency response orders the test fighter R-9A2 Delta to the attack force.
