Rainbow Despair

Molly Despair is sixteen, enrolled in a witchcraft academy in the kingdom of Elzdor, and completely uninterested in the domestic spells she is being taught. She wants high adventure, not high society. One day she leaves the academy with her familiar Larry the cat and her broomstick, determined to make her mark on the world as an adventurer — and immediately discovers that the forest surrounding the academy is populated with monsters that prey on exactly this kind of optimistic departure.
