About This Game

The small Japanese town of Kurouzu-cho — Black Vortex Town — has become consumed by a supernatural obsession with spirals. High school student Kirie Goshima and her boyfriend Shuichi Saito watch the spiral curse move through the people around them: some grow obsessed with spirals, others become paranoid about them, and many are physically transformed — bodies contorting, pregnant women beginning to behave like mosquitoes, the dead rising again, most of the population slowly mutating into snails. The environment deteriorates alongside the townspeople: whirlwinds multiply, whirlpools form, the abandoned lighthouse becomes a furnace, and anyone who looks at it begins walking in circles. The curse tightens around Kurouzu-cho, and Kirie and Shuichi are still inside it.
