Released2000
In the near future, Psionics are among us. Their evil thoughts pulsate across time and space corrupting even the strongest minds. Players assume the role of Agent Cain, a powerful Psionic working for an elite government agency. As Cain, you strive for mastery of innate psychic “Talents” such as the ability to shoot fireballs or the power to summon hideous creatures. Using these “Talents” depletes both Health and Sanity, so players must walk a fine line to ensure that they don't lose their minds!

About This Game

Decades before the game begins, geneticist Dr. Joan Aiken discovered a method for activating the dormant portions of the human brain through an injected serum, granting the recipient psychic abilities she called "talents." Talents were organized into collections called totems, each representing a different discipline; Aiken founded the Science totem herself. In the present, DNPC agent Cain has been suspended after a clash with Priscilla Divine — founder of the Sun totem and leader of the Eye of Ra, a radical organization opposed to the government's psionic programs on ethical grounds. When the DNPC brings Cain back, his assignment is to infiltrate the Eye of Ra, currently operating under cover of a psychic hotline, and arrest Divine.
