Doubutsu no Mori
Doubutsu no Mori is the name of the first installment in the Animal Crossing series. It was released only in Japan for the Nintendo 64. It was later remade for the GameCube in 2002, and released worldwide as Animal Crossing. This game is compatible with the Expansion Pak and is displayed in a higher resolution when it is used (640x480 as opposed to 320x240).

About This Game
A young person climbs onto a train, finally on their own, headed to a new life in a small village populated by sentient humanoid animals. They arrive with 1,000 Bells and nothing else — no home, no plan, and no place to sleep. On the train, a cat named Rover notices their situation and strikes up a conversation. By the time they arrive, Rover has already contacted his old friend Tom Nook, who will help the new arrival get settled in the village. What happens after that depends on the player.
