At Lake Ami, young Takeshi watches the fishing guru Yagi land the fish of his dreams. The sight is overwhelming: Takeshi declares Yagi his sensei on the spot, begs to be trained, and is accepted into Yagi's fishing club — the Lure Fishing Club, or L.F.C. From there, Takeshi takes on new challenges, builds friendships with fellow fishermen, faces serious rivals, and chases his goal of becoming a truly great fisherman, one fish and one contest at a time.
