Gourmet Action Game: Manpuku!! Nabe Kazoku

Released2002
Gourmet Action Game - Manpuku!! Nabe Kazoku is another cooking game from Media Entertainment, like Yakiniku Bugyou. This one's a good deal simpler than even that simple game, as you don't have to worry yourself over placing the food, flipping it halfway, or judging when it's done: you just wait for the food to drop into the broiling bowl, then wait for "OK" to appear over it, then you click on it to dish it into your character's mouth. Munch!

About This Game

Two players race to fill their full meters first by eating from a shared Nabe pot — chopstick skills and timing determine who eats faster and better. The pot churns out a continuous stream of chicken, organs, vegetables, and miscellaneous ingredients at different cooking speeds. Pressing X checks for doneness; O eats. Three matching food types earn bonus points, as does hitting the chef's suggested combination. Eat something undercooked and you stall, losing ground while your opponent surges. Power-ups buried beneath cleared food offer advantages: freezing the other player, clearing your combo counter, or multiplying your score. Rounds are timed, and the bigger meter at the end wins. Both solo and two-player versus modes are available.
